Chris Tippins-Saturday, March 28

March 28, 2020 07:00 PM until March 28, 2020 10:00 PM

We welcome to 313 for his first performance, Chris Tippins, upstate singer and songwriter.

With many diverse musical inspirations, such as Glen Hansard, Andy Gullahorn, David Ramirez, TJ Harris (Decyfer Down), Noah Gundersen, Alex Vargas, Chris brings a singular take on singing and songwriting.

Music has a way of speaking directly to the heart in a way that words sometimes cannot. The impact of that message should not be taken lightly. As a singer and musician, I want to play music that I enjoy. My influences come from many different places, and so my music tends to showcase that diversity. As a songwriter, I am more or less a storyteller. Those stories come from my personal life and experience, as well as the people and the world around me. Life and loss, joy and pain, faith and doubt, I seek to write and sing songs that people from all walks of life can relate to. If I encourage one person, if I challenge one person, then I consider that a success. Whether the listener chooses to dance, to laugh, to cry, or to simply think about something from a different point of view, I want my music to connect with people in a real way. I am not an entertainer, nor do I really enjoy the spotlight. But I have a voice, and I want to use it well. And ultimately I want to glorify the one who gave that voice to me.

Come out for seafood and sangria and welcome Chris to Seneca and our local music appreciation.
